Located about 10km inland at an altitude of 435m above sea level.
Birthplace of Blas Infante, founder of Andaluz nationalism.
One of only two towns in Spain not captured by the French during the Peninsular War - the other is Cádiz.
The town is believed to have been named after (Julius) Caesar who campaigned in Spain.
