This 171' structure was constructed between 1855-1857, and uses a 1st Order Fresnel Lens. First lit January 15, 1857. The recent restoration of the structures and grounds has created an oasis in a neighborhood that was largely reduced to vacant lots by "urban renewal" efforts.
