Comandău

Romania / Covasna / Comandau /
 fishing area, village, logging

Comandau (Kommandó) is a little village that started out as a camp of timber logging workers and comapnies. Logging is still the major industry of the area, although there are attempts to bring more turists to the area. The state of the road that connects Comandau to Covasna is a big obstacle. In the winter months often this village is inaccessible for cars.
In the nearby forests there is a rich and varied wildlife, in the crystal clear creeks there are trouts. It makes a wonderful hunting, sportsfishing destination.

The nearby Lacauti (Lakóca) is a beautiful tourist attraction, with a gorgeous view (in clear weather) of the Romanian Plains.
