This is just the railroad stop on the Tonopah and Goldfield Railroad. The real or original Klondike is located about 10 miles east in the mountains at a 5000 feet. Jim Butler, the discoverer of Tonopah, was on his way to Klondike when he discovered the ledge of silver on Mt. Oddie.
