  • The day was July 13, 2008. Though bit tiring, awesome sense of achievement!! It will keep challenging you every moment of your trekking. Keep 1-2 ltrs of water if nothing else with you before u gear up for the fun!!

  • Dear All, I had been there twice. Once on December 2007 and another time on February 2008. This is one of the beautiful spot I had ever seen and one of the nice experiences in my life. It is the most beautiful place at the Green paradise, Wayanad. As Saurav said keep as much water and food items along with :-) No doubt, I would prefer Chembra peak first whenever there is a plan to trip Wayanad. Chembra peak is only about 8 kms from Meppadi, a town in Ooty road, Wayanad district. The road to Chembra is through PVs Tea Estate. Before entering into the estate road from Meppadi please take pass from the forest office at Meppadi, otherwise you may be compelled to drive back to Meppadi to take the pass. It will take almost 1.50 hours to reach the heart shaped lake and about a additional 2.00 hours to reach the peak. Total up and down about 5.30 hours. Lets have a trip to Chembra and no doubt it should the your ever best experience in trekking.
