Hawthorn is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is located on the Lilydale, Belgrave, and Alamein lines, at Burwood and Evansdale Roads in the suburb of Hawthorn. It is 5.6 km from Flinders Street Station, the centre of the city's suburban railway network, and in Metcard ticketing Zone 1.

Hawthron consists of a side platform and an island format; Platform 1 has a large weatherboard building, while the island platform has a smaller weatherboard building underneath a large canopy. A footbridge at the Down end of the station connects all three platforms. Hawthorn is an unstaffed station, with only limited facilities.

A Telstra payphone is located at the entry to Platform 1, and a reproduction red telephone box containing a modern Telstra phone is located on the island platform (2/3). A large Metcard ticket vending machine is located at the entrance to platform 1, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A small coin-only Metcard ticket vending machine is located at the entrance to platforms 2 & 3, as well as at the entrance to platform 1.

The station is also known for the large numbers of Connex Authorised Officers (AO's) who board trains here, then commence their duty to patrol trains for fare evaders and other enforcement and safety duties. This is because Hawthorn is a staff depot for the AO's, perhaps explaining why there are no ticketing staff there.
