Child In Need Institute (CINI) was founded in 1974, by an Indian Pediatrician, Dr Samir Chowdhuri.
CINI is Recipient of National award for Child Welfare, Government of India, 1985 and 2004Starting its journey as a clinic for children under five.

Today, after more than three decades, CINI is recognized as a national NGO working in the areas of health, nutrition, education and child protection. Guided by its mission of Sustainable Development in Health, Nutrition and Education of Child, Adolescent and Woman in need, the institution reaches to 5 million people in both the rural and urban belts across multiple states of India. CINI's Mission is "Sustainable development in health, nutrition, protection and education of child, adolescent and woman in need"
