Situated on Diamond Harbor Road in Kolkata, IIM-C is a premier management institute known worldwide for the quality of its faculty and students. IIMC was established in November 1961, in collaboration with the MIT Sloan School of Management, the government of West Bengal, the Ford Foundation and Indian industry. Its alumni includes Pepsi Co. 's worldwide head ,Indra Nooyi is from this institute. Spread over 135 acres its green environment is a delight in a space starved Indian metropolis. In winter its manicured lawns and extensive flower beds is a pleasure to see.
