Lock on Upper Avon Navigation. This was rebuilt in a new position in 1982 as the original site suffered badly from silting. You can see the old lock chamber just to the east of the new one, built at 90 degrees to the main channel.
Named in memory of Robert Aickman - author, literary agent, who was a Chairman of UANT and joint founder (with Tom Rolt) of the Inland Waterways Association (IWA).
