Situated at a ht. of 19000 ft. Two scientists/Engineers (Kulvir Kapoor, Ramdas) climbed the peak in 1968 and carried out, for a week, secret monitoring covering 30 to 300 MHz VHF region and 3 to 30 GHz microwave region.

  • While carrying out our monitoring job, also took a large number of photographs of surrounding snow covered mountains covering 360 degrees. On return to Delhi Hqs., Jagdish Gulati assembled the entire lot giving a beautiful panaromic view of all mountains surrounding Lasirmo. The entire panaromic scene was very much appreciated by Dr. M Krishnamurthy, AK Dave, TM Subramaniam and others.
