History: Built prior to 1836, at one time this house was used as the Baptist parsonage. It was then remodeled and, as Foster wrote, "ornamented." On the 1874 map, William Sullivan is listed as the owner. He was in business across the street in the store known as "Colt's." The house was also home to several generations of the Church family until 1978. Warren Church was one owner; he and his father Ezra owned a blacksmith shop just east of the the present entrance to Laurel Hill cemetery. Kenneth L. Jansen bought the house in 1978.
