This mall, one of the oldest in Atlanta, is currently anchored by A Macy's, an 8-screen movie theater, and a smaller department store on the south side (formerly JCPenny's). The mall faces stiff competition from the Mall at Stonecrest, a newer, regional mall to the east, but managed to survive as a mall that caters to the local clientele.

  • The mall has actually seen a rebirth in the last few years. Its occupancy rates are stable, and it is home to more small business catering to a younger hip crowd, more than nation retailers. A first run movie theatre is returning to the mall after more than a decade absence.
  • cool, I like seeing when places like this can recuperate. I have seen many a shopping center fall into a decline and never re-emerge.
