Heckscher Museum (Town of Huntington)

In 1920, the industrialist August Heckscher built a small beaux-arts museum in the midst of Huntington's Heckscher Park to house his eclectic private collection ranging from Egyptian artifacts to 19th-century paintings glorifying the beauty of New York's Hudson River Valley. (www.heckscher.org)
