park, promenade, interesting place, embankment, local events
The Embankment runs along the north bank of the River Nene. Lined with weeping willows and the occasional park bench, it is a popular place to moor, to fish and with families who enjoy feeding the swans, ducks and geese that have made their home there. There is also a large open space which is often used to host fairs and events such as the Beer Festival.
