Former Cistercian abbey with farm and industrial buildings located on the South Demer bank, surrounded by a protected forest and agricultural landscape, accessible along two lime avenues.
The abbey was founded in 1182, since 1317 afamous pilgrimage.
In 1796 the abbey was confiscated and sold publicly in 1797 to P. Libotton and G. Claes,
who organize the complex as sugar and cloth factory.
