Takli Dhokeshwar Caves (sixth century brahmani caves with Dhokeshwar temple)

In the north east of village Takali Dhokeshwar lies this cave i.e. Leni, at half the height of hill. This is a Brahmani leni carved out of rock along with a cave. ref. British gazeteer 1880. There is also a devsthanam of lord shiva called as Dhokeshwar. The sculptures on cave wall at entrance are quite eroded, in lack of any protection.The area is semi arid.

  • this is very nice place of lord shiva and also tourist centre. u must see atleast one time.
  • Nice place. But not well maintained by locals itself. Need to have awareness of this place amongst all.
