this was previously Head Quarter of Northern Scouts in early 70's. It had barracks,Offices, residential buildings and a wonderful football ground. Later on the HQ was shifted to another place and decided to sell the area, H.H.Aga khan wanted to purchase this land to construct a Hospital.The Owners didn't agree and resolved to make it a shopping place and generate money to help ex-soldiers and war victim widows.With this purpose a number of shopping markets were constructed by the FCNA and took its commercial,constructional and managerial affairs into its hands.Now this market is known throughout the country for imported stuffs of every kind.People come from far off cities for shopping and has added attraction to the tourists from the world over.
