One of the Oldest mosque in Dhaka. This area was known as Bagh-e-Musa. Musa Khan was the son and successor of famous Isa Khan Masnad-i-Ala, one of the 12 Bhuiyas (Zaminder) of Bengal. The Masjid is said to be built by him but the style of architecture of the Masjid with high platform and 3 domes suggest a later date 'Shaistakhani style', and it seems that his son Munawwar Khan might have been the real builder. The architecture of this Masjid resembles the Masjid of Haji Khawja Shahbaz 1678 AD east of 3-leaders Mausoleum in Ramna. It is believed that the grave of Musa Khan is situated on the north east side of Masjid in a deplorable condition.
