Presidential Library & Museum dedicated to the only Iowa native to become president: Herbert Hoover.

The library has many of Hoover's papers and documents related to Hoover, though some are at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. There is also a collection of papers from Hoover biographer (and journalist, travel writer, novelist, and political theorist) Rose Wilder Lane and her mother, Laura Ingalls Wilder. The reading room is open to researchers Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m.-noon and 12:30-4:45 p.m. It is closed all federal holidays and weekends.

The museum looks at Hoover's life in 7 galleries detailing various periods in his life. Additionally, there is a gallery dedicated to Lou Henry Hoover and a gallery dedicated to the "roaring twenties" to give historical context. There is also an exhibit hall for temporary exhibits. The current temporary exhibit is "A Charles Dickens Christmas." The museum is open every day from 9am-5pm, except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day when the museum is closed.
