Peach Garden is one of Singapore's last remaining first-generation freehold condomiums, with Singapore currently undergoing large scale en-bloc redevelopment of private estates, Peach Garden looks unlikely to be redeveloped due to its small land area and diverse ownership creating problems for consensus. Despite its age, it continues to be a reference real estate property occasionally used for TV filming etc. due to its 70s open-plan design. Each floor only has 2 units each serviced by lifts and averages 2900sqft which is penthouse size by Singapore standards. Drawcards include 270degree views, ensuite in every room, double kitchen, triple living areas and a private bungalow estate next door which ensures continued separation from nearby buildings. Minus points include outdated common facilities and a shortage of car parking within grounds.

  • Another reason for a lack of interest in redevelopment is because of the current architectural designs which dispense of the 70s open-plan, which is PG's main drawcard. Residents and investors have noted that it would not be possible to have such floor area and open space should the buildings be redeveloped, possibly drawing less interest than the current units themselves.
