Hotel Americano is a small but nice, clean hotel located just off the Avenida Heroes de Verdeloma at Francisco Tamariz 1-14 in the north central part of the city about 8-10 minutes by taxi from the airport or main bus depot. Parque Calderon in El Centro is just 9 blocks away. Note that on some maps, Francisco Tamariz is sometimes shown as Coronel Francisco. Comes highly recommended for the frugal traveler or student.
