The Mormon Pioneers who blasted the Hole-In-The-Wall across the river, travelled out this canyon on their way to settle southern Utah. This is now a popular canyon on Lake Powell for houseboat camping when the lake water level is high. There is great hiking up the canyon following the old Mormon trail. A couple Anasazi ruins are also in the area.
