Wenatchee (when-atch-ee), is a city in central Washington, just off the eastern slopes of the cascades. Wenatchee is the county seat of Chelan county and the apple capital of the world, officially. Wenatchee and the surrounding area is home to manyapple orchards which are shipped around the world. Most Washington apples come from around Wenatchee or Yakima, and are shipped out from there. It is on the west side of the columbia river, with East Wenatchee on the east side. It is around where Highway 2 and 97 meet in Washington.
