The Dotsons died within seven years of each other in the late 1870s and early 1890s. Most of the Dotson property became part Chatham Field (later Travis Field), built in 1942, and over a hundred graves were relocated during that time except for four: Richard and Catherine Dotson, John Dotson, and Daniel Hueston.
The Dotson gravesites were left in their original location--now in the middle of Runway 10--during an upgrade during the 1970s according to the wishes of the Dotson family.
