  • Park contains elementary School. At night the dogs come out and it is a good place to let them play off the leash. Generally a lot of university types will congregate here, however that could range from the family of a professor to a student at the university.
  • A fence was just erected which creates a barrier between the public sidewalk entrance and the area which constitutes Burns Park elementary School. Other additions include replacement of archaic wooden playground structures with new, brightly colored florescent modern child fitness enabling devices. The last modification in the 20th century was the convertion of a wooden fountain area into just a cement abyss which intended to be used to play a game with the objective of lofting a ball into a rather large hole with random numbers written. Accordign to the math department this encorporated probability into recess and increased test scores. Amenities of the park besides the prestigious academic facilities include the four tennis courts which you can see pictured, a assorted basketball courts and other playground structures, including a random boat, a sandbox, some swings, along with two very comfy red swings on the northwest part of the park. A senior center and activity center are also enclosed facilities apart from the school which were erected on the city property. The city property was bought from an old horse race track.
