Max Factor Makeup Studio 1934 Art Deco renovation by architect S. Charles Lee{Bruin Theater}. Makeup was made on the top floors with a glamorous marbled floored salon on the ground floor. Also upstairs was a garage reached by the largest elevator in Hollywood. Stars used to store their Packards, Rolls Royce's and Dusenberg's while away on locations. Downstairs a bowling alley and a night club.

As the Hollywood Museum the building holds over 10,000 bits of film memorabilia. Gowns worn by Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor with a dinosaur egg incubator by Jurassic Park. Gary Grant's Rolls Royce is parked in the elevator.

Showpiece of the museum are the restored Max Factor color makeup rooms. The "color harmony" concept developed by Factor was used to match the right color for his clients. There is a room painted a special green for red heads; in it Lucille Ball got her famous color along with Rita Hayworth. A two-tone blue room where stars like Jean Harlow became blondes, a peach and beige room for "brownnettes" like Judy Garland and a dusty-pink room for brunettes. Joan Crawford and Bette Davis were clients.
