Prestwich Golf Course
Prestwich Golf Club stands on the outskirts of Manchester City Centre and is easily accessible from anywhere in the North West of England being close to the M60 Manchester orbital motorway.

The original golf course was established in the late 1800's by the Manchester Gymkhana Club, an exclusive club which provided a range of sporting activities for its members, including golf, lawn tennis and bowling.

The Course was extended to 18 holes in 1905 and officially opened on the 16th April 1906. A card from that date indicates that the course measured 4448 yards and was rated as par 72. As golf grew in popularity the Manchester Gymkhana Club evolved into Prestwich Golf Club which was formerly instituted in March 1908
