This tiny island was the subject of Robb White's novel, "Two on the Isle", later made into a movie called "Our Virgin Island". White and his wife Rodie bought Marina Cay in 1937 and built a home there. A set of several unfortunate circumstances, including World War II and an uncooperative BVI government, brought their dream of continuing to live on the island to a disappointing end. Robb White wrote much fiction, some of it right on the island, and also wrote many film scripts.
