A small entrance porch in rich polychromatic brick marks the University Church. It was commissioned in 1856, from John Hungerford Pollen and is built in the Byzantine style.
The church, which is a model of the church of SS Cosmas and Damian in the Via Cavour in Rome, is lit by small windows set under the roof.
