LAPA Flight 3142 was a flight from Buenos Aires to Córdoba, Argentina operated by the Argentinian airline LAPA. The plane crashed at the Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires on 31 August 1999 at 20:54 local time, shortly after take-off. The crash resulted in 65 fatalities, 17 persons severely injured, and several persons with minor injuries, making it one of the worst accidents in the history of Argentinian aviation.
