listed building / architectural heritage, 1927_construction, educational building
This building used to hold the Tokwon Abbey church and St. Benedict Seminary. The building was constructed in the early 20th century by German Benedictine monks. After the communist revolution, the monastery was dissolved and the buildings converted to secular use. Though the church was severely damaged by US bombings during the Korean war, it is still standing, though it's unclear what it's currently used for.
