About 25 km south of Bokaro Steel City amidst a tribal (Adivasi) region in 1995 the Johar Hospital for the Adivasi people was founded on an area of land of 7.5 acres. Now there are living approximately 65 people who are working in the hospital and in the affiliated children village there live about 25 orphans.
