Dive Agar must have been an important trading place near Shrivardhan in old times. Such was the wealth here that idols in temples were claded with a Golden Masks. But later most of the wealth was looted by the Moghal attackers.
One such mask was found buried in a betelnut farm,in a heavy steel chest. This mask probably belonged to Shree Ganesh idol in a temple nearby & must have laid buried for at least 300 - 400 years.
This mask has been declared as a Govt property, but kept in the village itself in govt custody, to boost tourism income for village.

Dive Agar is a typical sleepy Kokan Village, but scenic beauty is nice, with a backdrop of sea & nice beach nearby.
