We divide our vineyards into upper and lower sections. During the Fall of 2002, the upper vineyard was planted with 14 clones of 5 varietals. Two years later, the lower vineyard plantings were completed with 12 clones of 8 varietals. With the planting now complete, Black Ridge Vineyards consists of just over 20 acres of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Viognier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris.
