Candi Morangan is a Hindu temple located in Morangan hamlets, villages Sindumartani, Ngemplak subdistrict, Sleman, Yogyakarta, and were very close to the river Gendol (100 meters to the west). It is estimated, this temple was built at about the 9th century and 10th at the time of Old Mataram Kingdom, which is contemporaneous with the making of Hindu temples, like Prambanan Temple, and others.
At the time, discovered in 1982, this temple are buried 6.5 meters below ground. Although until now not fully been completely refurbished, the ruins of this temple complex has two pieces of the temple buildings: the main temple and chapel. In Morangan temple complex is also found statues, yoni and a number of other statues in the niches of the temple.
