Formerly ASWRE (Admiralty Surface Weapons Establishment) Funtington, this site changed hands in 2001 when the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency was privatised as QinetiQ.

Today the site is mainly used for testing radar systems. The site comprises extensive indoor and outdoor antenna measurement ranges, large ground-planes, far-field ranges, offices, laboratories and an indoor anechoic chamber. The capability covers frequencies from HF to 60GHz www.qinetiq.com/
