    and badly modified cars. A little known 'fact' is that cleethorpes, though considered a seaside resort is actually on the banks of the river humber. The sand was brought into the town by train during the victorian times to create a holiday destination for the people working in the yorkshire industries. The railway line still runs the breadth of the country through the steal industry of yorkshire and cotton mills of manchester.

    Utter rubbish! The sand is brought down from the Holderness coastline by the action of the waves and tides in the North Sea and deposited in the Humber Estuary on the Lincolnshire Coast.
