This former department store is the only remnant leftover of the former Woodmar Mall. The Carson Pirie Scott & Co. store first opened in 1954, expanded with a third level in 1964, and was left after the mall was demolished in 2006 with still twenty years left on the lease. Despite the chain's rebranding as "Carson's" in its last days, it still held the older 1990s/2000s-era "Carson Pirie Scott" signage. It closed in late 2018 when parent company Bon-Ton went out of business.
