Panchavati Co-op Housing Society. Construction started ~1983. First flats occupied early 1986. Built on site of an old bobbin factory. Originally meant for mint employees, now occupied by people of all professions. Named Panchavati because there were to be five buildings. Construction on some dragged on due to legal issues, but is now on again. Also home to a bank and some shops. Used to afford a great view of the airport, but that view is now occluded by newer construction. A pleasant area close to SEEPZ and Aarey - will become more accessible once Marol-Maroshi Rd is fully upgraded and even more accessible if/when the Versova/Ghatkopar metro line becomes operational.
