This location is the first LEED-certified restaurant in the city of Pittsburgh, and the first such Eat'n Park restaurant anywhere. Environmentally friendly features include drought-resistant plants in the gardens, barrels to catch rainwater for landscaping, induction stove-tops, and a 40-foot wind turbine to generate some of the store's power. There are also sunlight tunnels in the ceiling, a white roof to reflect sunlight and keep the restaurant cool, special parking spaces for hybrid vehicles, and bicycle racks.
