Öjskogsparken is an open air museum consisting of about 20 different historical buildings. The main building Bengtsgården is an 18th century farmstead with a well-preserved interior. The visitors can get acquainted with a traditional Ostrobothnian bridal gown and the preparations and traditions concerning a wedding. The shoemaker's shop of Karl Oskar Norrbäck is also located in Bengtsgården.

The pharmacy museum is unique in Finland. Pharmacist Karl-Erik Källström, former leading pharmacist in Närpes, the initiator and founder of the pharmacy museum, has personally collected and purchased the pharmaceutical items on display from across Finland. His eagerness has resulted in an amazing collection.

Haga's country shop, built in 1895, has been preserved in its original condition. The shop consists of more than 700 items mainly from the time of the Second World War. The room on display gives the visitor an idea how the everyday life on the countryside functioned. Although the households were mainly self-sufficient the country shop provided the population with supplies such as cigarettes, sugar and coffee. The impression of war is also clearly visible among the products.

The schoolhouse was originally situated in the centre of Närpes and was in use between the years 1861 och 1920. Here the children of our day have the opportunity to experience an organised old-fashioned day at school in Öjskogsparken´s schoolhouse. The day at school has been much appreciated by the children, who have experienced a day in ordinary life from the time their grandmother was a child.
