Victorian-era cemetery operated by the City of Norfolk. Was the successor to adjacent Cedar Grove when it reached capacity after the Yellow Fever epidemic.
Contains a number of impressive mausoleums and contains a special plots for foreign sailors who died while in Norfolk and a fenced plot for members of the Norfolk Light Artillery Blues, the local Confederate artillery unit that served with distinction throughout the Civil War.
