The Taft Branch of the Orange Public library resides here. The building was designed by the arcitect Richard K. Brooks in the 1970s. He was a local person that lived a few blocks to the north of the library. Its design is very unusual with cylindrical sections and lots of glass. In the center of the building is a sunken pit that houses the magazine collection (or used to anyway). There is a second-story loft type of study room suspended above the magazine pit. There is no other building quiet like it in Orange.
