listed building / architectural heritage, Roman Catholic church, 17th century construction
In the absence of charters it is not known when or by whom the first church was established. It is only that the abbot of the abbey of Affligem (founded around 1083 under the Rule of St. Benedict) had the patronage of the parish and the church, both of which were dedicated to Saint Nicholas.
