  • this is the place where Indira Gandhi was killed by her two sikh bodyguards because Indira Gandhi destroyed THE AKAL TAKHT SAHIB wich is situated at the entry gate of Golden Temple and she also killed many innocent sikhs because they were sikhs.
  • No one has ever told what the government ought to have done instead, when after a successful chase by government forces Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale took shelter in and occupied Golden Temple along with men in great number armed with automatic firearms. The options were whether to let him do as he liked, or to end it. To understand the significance of automatic firearms in India one has to understand that Indians are by tradition unarmed, where the vast majority do not know firearms. Only weapon common in India is the stick, mostly in rural areas for cattle management. Unarmed culture is not found elsewhere in the world, though unfamiliarity with weapons is not entirely a noble thing as vast majority of Indians live a slave like existence dominated by the upper class. It is pointless to blame government for storming the place, the battle and the damage before specifying what other option the government ought to have exercised. They did manage to kill him and most of his armed people, which ended the campaign of terror killings of 50,000 victims, mostly Sikh.
