  • it is indeed unfortunate and rather a disgrace on my side for not having visited this historical town (2nd oldest church), though I grew up in barely 50 km distance. It is a pity once again for not being appreciative of what is ours at our footstep. I grew up listening to stories like "the rock Gragn Mohammed tossed to destroy the church and also his outfits extremly XXXXXL size he left behind after he was beaten up by residents. Is that true? The story goes on to state that Gragn used his one hand to carry that huge rock like what we see" in modern day alelo wurwora", and missed the church slightly which is attributed to a miracle. I want to hear more. I cant wait till my next trip. I never realized that it is the replica of axum tsion. By the way, in the past, there were no residents of the moslem faith in the town. Has it changed?
  • Hey,guys I uploaded the picture of the legendary stone which it is said that Gragne Amed threw it.Unfortunately,I couldn't take the picture of the ancient building,so called,'Abrehawoatsibha Building',since it is fenced by ragged cans.Any way,I saw it long time ago,it is very ancient building and has a lot of carvings on the walls,it is really a place worth to see!

  • really we say alot about this twon i know that all etihiopia christian love and like mertulemariam,espacialy the history of the church the ancient church but we can not get the chance to see ABERHA WATSBHA BETEMKIDSE so for this new generation and this historical place what is expacted from us.if we do some thing we can get and see the ancient BATEMKIDSE.from haramaya,
