The Lindenhurst Police Department is comprised of 16 full-time sworn employees. These sworn law enforcement positions include the Chief, 3 Watch Commanders, and 12 full-time Police Officers. The Village supplements its full-time staffing with four part-time sworn Police Officers. Additionally the Police Department employs a Community & Support Services Coordinator, a part-time Community Service Officer, a Records Assistant, and 3 part-time Records Clerks/Dispatchers.

The Police Department utilizes a fleet of 8 squad cars. Seven of the patrol cars are equipped with mobile computers giving access to state and federal data. A durable, "off road" mountain bicycle is also available for community policing purposes.

Non-emergency dispatching, clerical services and operation of non-emergency telephone lines are performed within the Lindenhurst facility, 68 hours per week by internal staff. This results in a period of 100 hours per week in which the non-emergency telephone lines are forwarded to Antioch Dispatch Center, Lindenhurst's contract service provider for emergency 911 dispatching.
