At first the church was the patron of Saint Lambert in the 15th century, later dedicated to Our Lady Mary. In the 16th century it was a busy place of pilgrimage. In 1899 - 1900 the church was almost completely renovated. The tower and the westwing were at the beginning of World War II destroyed and rebuilt in 1941-1943.
