St. Mary the Virgin. Historic Church and grounds (former graveyard) One of the oldest buildings in the area. A church has stood here from the 10th century, and was a place of worship for hundreds of years before that. Recumbent effigies, and other ancient features make this church an interesting place for history buffs. It was also the home parish of the Mayo family, who later became famous for the Mayo Clinic in the United States.
