This is the Daulat Beg Oldi Nullah (DBO). The word nullah roughly means drain. This nullah originates from a spring, along the Karakorum pass and travels southeastwards a distance of about 16 kilometres, hits the DBO, turns south and flows parallel to the west of the airfield into the Chip Chap river.
